Beware of products that claim excessive weight loss or muscle gain. It is reasonable to expect 0.5 to 1 kilo of weight loss in a week and certainly no more than 5 kilos of muscle growth in a year.
Be suspicious of products that have mystery or unproven ingredients or are based on special formulations.
Ask your retailer where the product was produced, what are the main ingredients and from what source. It is important that they are made in factories that are ISO certified, as this is the quality benchmark.

Regular analyses of our products are carried out and documented by the Sports University of Cologne.
Products made outside of Europe need to be legally labelled for the UK and some even have ingredients that are not permissible in Europe. Ask your retailer if they know if it is legal.
Is the product really expensive or cheap compared with similar products in its category? Often it is hype that creates the excessive difference in pricing. Look for the main active ingredients.
Be cautious of blends of the active ingredients that create an 'in- house' formula. The label should be informative and understandable, if it isn't then it could be a deliberate intention of the manufacturer to confuse!
