My race day/training brick sessions are getting stronger and I am learning lots from the experiences. I needed an open water swim today and Rich found a Aquathon at Liquid Leisure in Dachet. A bit pricey at £18 but good training for a open water mass start and a 5K run.

I have been a runner for the past 8 years thanks to James for encouraging me. I started with a 5k race and quickly developed a passion for running and working with charities.

I seem to be entering a period where I am doing a lot of events. You read many things about targeting one main event and training for that, and while I chose the vitruvian in September as my goal race I seem to be overloaded in the run up.

Mark is a Police sergeant in the Met, and races for the Met Tri club. In 2010 he has entered 12 triathlons including Windsor, London and Vitruvian.
